"Fly! Liberia"

is a webpage created for students, pilots, customers, friends and all concerned about the development of the Liberian General Aviation and the Civil Aviation Administration. We are developing this, so be a little patient while things get better. Thanks !

Preliminary:

Liberia's Aviation Sector is dead. Private Piloting or Commercial Flying is unavailable.

Liberia does not have a flight school. There is no Aero-Club, no Charter or Air Taxi Operation.

Good News: starting 24 June 2008 --- Airline Flights three times a week
to Greenville – Harper – Zwedru

Airstrips are mostly in a bad condition, but are available throughout the Counties.

The Liberian Population might right now not be the most eager group when it comes to Flight Instruction or Private (Recreational) Piloting, but like with most new things they will become very interested once such services are available. And with the general development of Liberia, the educational and financial ability to make use of such services will improve.

For many Liberians, the options for challenging hobbies, or training courses regarding their Education and Activities, Employment, and Career Building, are very limited.

Would it not be nice to take a ride to Cape Palmas with friends for a nice weekend? Take some pictures of a mining claim or forestry operation? Go into a career in Aviation?

My estimate for a Commercial Operation (Charter, Air Taxi) is positive: The newly developing businesses in mining, logging or private areas will appreciate a fast, safe and economic access to remote regions, as the road conditions are poor and land travel is time consuming and straining.

The need for Pilots will arise sharply, as for mechanics and other ground personnel.

Business Owners, Officials, Company Representatives, Foreign Partners to Liberian Businesses, NGOs, Aerial Survey and Photography, and local/international contracts will all need qualified specialists to satisfy their aviation needs.
