The Cessna 172 is the most-sold airplane in the world. It resembles the Cessna 150/152, but has four seats, uses around 9 gal/h and goes about 125 mph or 110 knots @ 3000 feet. Although the handling is slightly heavier on the controls, there are no major differences between these two planes. Many C172 are IFR equipped and can be flown by a single pilot in bad weather conditions. The garmin 1000 glass cockpit has recently been installed with great success.
